L’oreal True Match Highlight

Loreal True Match Highlight

Another day another highlight. How can one resist. Highlighting has been so massively popular this year, with brands bombarding us with ways which we can dazzle our peers with our cheekbones and I love it! No high point of the face has been safe, and I for one have fully overindulged myself this year with highlight,  I dont think my makeup collection has ever had so many highlighters in it at once!

When I walked into Boots on a gloomy Wednesday afternoon (I have made the point of pointing out it was gloomy as I believe this maybe pushed my hand a little… you know… I needed something to literally brighten my day), and saw the new L’oreal True match highlight I knew right then that it was coming home with me.

And how I’m oh so glad it did.

This L’oreal rose glow illuminator is like a mirror for the cheekbone. It shines brighter then no cream highlight has ever shone before. Literally.
The texture is a beautiful light creamy consistency that dries to the skin in seconds, which then gives the possibility to apply more and more and more. After applying three coats I had to have a word with myself and stop putting on more layers as I was beginning to look ridiculous.

Highlight swatches

Above I have swatched L’oreal True match in the centre of my arm and on the right of it is MAC’s Soft and gentle and to the left it MakeUp Revolutions Beyond radiance highlight palette, the shade is the middle one of the palette.I have No idea what the name is!

Unlike some cream highlighters I dont find that this shifts my foundation when I apply it on to it, and it doesn’t do that weird patchy thing that some do as well.
L’oreal have stated that this could also be used underneath your foundation for a all over glow, which although I haven’t tried this yet I could imagine it would look stunning, provided you go in lightly with it as it is pink toned.
I absolutely love this and as someone who isn’t usually a massive fan of cream highlighters this has definitly been a exception to my rule.

This product comes in two shades, Icy glow for fair to medium skin and Golden Glow for medium to dark skin and is currently Β£6.99 to buy.
