My sometimes Better other half isn’t a massive fan of Valentine’s day, I, on the other hand, embrace Saint Valentine’s like a child does Christmas.
So instead of dropping hints, I’ve taken things into my own hands. This year I will be treating myself to some perfect little gifts that are cheap enough to make me feel special and ££ enough to keep the bank manager happy.
Who says happiness only comes from little pale blue boxes on Valentine’s day.
Glossy Box The ‘Galentine’s’ edition
The ultimate surprise gift to yourself.
If you don’t know what Glossybox is, (WHERE YOU BEEN?) it’s a subscription-based beauty box that ships to you once a month with five (sometimes more) products in fairly decent sample sizes (again sometimes full sized).
The box usually retails for £10 which includes postage and packing, but with my special discount code, you can grab yourself one for £8!
I’m not going to go into full detail of what’s in the box* (I don’t wanna ruin the surprise, but all the contents are in the picture below, so scroll past SUPER fast if you don’t wanna see spoilers!)
there are two full-sized items in this months box, a full-sized eyeshadow palette worth –
and a skin serum from a prestige skincare brand for –
*Please excuse the Se7en reference, THAT is not what is in this box! We keep it PG here kids.
Cause what screams romance more than Gin landing on your doormat!
For £9.99 including postage and packing, you can give yourself the gift of gin (and most likely a hangover), which to me, is one of the greatest gifts of all.
Coming straight through the letterbox (no need to be in to sign for it!) in a cute little box, is two of Flavourly’s 50 ml Honey and Raspberry Gin Liqueur, and a personalised message of your choice.
I’m going to be sending these out to my friends as well as treating myself, so they get a thoughtful and sweet valentines gift, and I get Gin drinking partners!
The Gift Of Blooms
It wouldn’t be Valentines without some perfectly thought out flowers would it.
Instead of hunting around Waitrose/Sainsburys/Aldi and buying an overpriced yet ‘feeling sorry for themselves’ bunch of withering roses.
I’m going to be letting the girls over at Bloom And Wild send me a beautiful bouquet through my letterbox (Again, no need to be sitting around for Mr Postman) thats full of carefully picked and cut flowers.
I’m going with the Flower Team Picks, which consists of Bloom chrysanthemums, carnations, Limonium, roses and refreshing eucalyptus for a dash of 1920s glamour.
I know I’m breaking the £10 theme here BUT these are usually priced at £24 but using my discount code you can grab these for £14 including postage and package AND a personalised card (you know, if you wanna make yourself feel special or send them to your mum).
It was too much of a saving for me not to include!
Or you can use the link to get yourself ten £10 off of any of the others that may catch your eye!
One For The Coffee Lovers
If like me you can’t function without your morning hit of caffeine, then this Valentine’s gift is for you!
Ethical coffee brand Pact, deliver some of the best tasting coffee my taste buds have ever had the pleasure of hooking up with.
Coming in all different forms (Nespresso, ground, beans) Pact can deliver you a weekly, monthly or one-off pack of their tasty coffee straight to your door.
If you love the good coffee or know anyone that does, then now is the time to treat yourself.
Pact will usually sign seal and delivery your coffee to you starting from £6.95 but with my £5 off code you can treat yourself for less then a Starbucks (and equally if not more yummy).
That’s £1.95 for 250g of Coffee!
Pact does ask you to set up a subscription, but if you only want to take advantage of the deal, then just make sure to cancel your subscription after you’ve received your first pack.
